Fix Mfg upgrades their tiny and ultra-portable Wheelie Wrench multi-tool with another Dynaplug crossover that can now tuck a tubeless tire plug at-the-ready inside your belt buckle. It’s not their first Dynaplug-equipped tool, but this one is much smaller, more portable, and a good bit cheaper too!

Fix Manufacturing gave us a sneak peek at this new Dynaplug-enabled Wheelie Wrench last fall, but we’re (I’m) actually pretty psyched to see it finally available. Simple & compact, the new Fix Wheelie Wrench X Dynaplug tool means “you’ll always have at least one shot at a tubeless flat tire repair” if you’ve got a Wheelie Wrench in your pocket, in your belt, or strapped onto your pack. It’s an even more versatile solution for cyclists who like to travel light, but always be prepared.

The Dynaplug functionality is the obvious addition to Fix’s most-compact Wheelie Wrench multi-tool. But to make room for it and still fit the mini tool into Fix’s most compact Payload Pocket storage, like my #EDC belt buckle, they had to drop a couple of other tools.

Missing compared to my original Wheelie Wrench are the T10 torx & #2 Phillips screwdriver. I think I’ve never used the T10 on my everyday carry tool, but the Phillips has seen plenty of use. Most often on the bike that’s been in adjusting derailleur limit screws, but those can probably all be adjusted with the flat slotted screwdriver, or now more often a hex.

The new Fix Wheelie Wrench X Dynaplug of course includes a pre-loaded Dynaplug tire plug inside a proprietary tool-free storage system/applicator. Then, the core tools of the mini multi-tool include 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5 & 6mm hexes, a T25 torx bit, and flat screwdriver. The magnetic cover of the tool adds a mini tire lever, 8 & 10mm box wrenches, a 15mm open-end wrench, two sizes of spoke nipple wrench, and a bottle opener.

The new Fix Wheelie Wrench X Dynaplug is in-stock now straight from Fix Mfg and sells for $50, fifteen buck more than the simpler original Wheelie Wrench. It’s also thirty bucks cheaper than Fix’s original Dynaplug-equipped tool, the slightly bulkier Dynaplug Wheelie Wrench Pro Hans Rey Edition.

Included in that price you get one pre-loaded tubeless tire plug, plus an extra 3-pack of Dynaplug refills. My personal favorite webbing All Time Belt to carry it every day is an extra $50, or just $25 for the Strap On Tool Holster that will carry the Wheelie Wrench X Dynaplug on any bag, pack, or strap you already have.
